Once I heard that AEW was doing an exploding ring death match, I knew I wanted to shoot it on film, as an homage to the old photos we would see from previous death matches in Japan. Luckily, Jon Moxley reached out and had me come up to document his match. Hope ya dig. Film never die. Pro wrestling is strong.

I decided to try and shoot an entire BKFC event with just film. I had my Canon 1nRS with Ilford hp5 400 and Delta 3200. I’ve become very bored with digital photography as of late and wanted to do something new. Gotta say, it was a lot of fun. Definitely changed how I approached the event. However, waiting for the film to come back from Reformed Film Lab was torture.
Finally! Been almost a year that I have shot combat sports. Luckily I have been able to shoot other things during the pandemic, but I didn’t realize how much I missed shooting fights. Big thank you to XMMA for having me out in West Palm Beach to capture the action. Was a great evening of fights.
