There is no better sport to watch live than hockey. Figured while I was here I should check out a game. Since I don't get to go that often (especially to a hockey game in Europe), I grabbed a spot on the glass. Eisbaeren won 7-5 in a game that shouldn't have been so close. Of course, the refs ruined everything. My hats off to the fans, the arena was rocking.
Paris, France
My girlfriend came out to visit me while I am here in Europe. I met her in Paris to start our trip (Paris, Venice, Florence, Cinque Terre, Pisa, and Rome).
We spent our days strolling through the city, overdosing on coffee and croissants. Luckily when you walk countless miles every day, you are allowed a bit of leeway on your diet. We had a morning tour of the Louvre and we were fortunate enough to avoid the crowd. I highly recommend it. We had breakfast on the Champs Elysees, we went to the top of the Eiffel Tower, journeyed underground to the catacombs, and watched the madness that is the traffic circle around the Arc de Triomphe. After a great few days, it was off to Venice. Until next time...
Prague, Czech Republic
It was quite a difference going from Berlin to Prague. I didn't realize how "new" Berlin was until I stepped onto the cobblestone streets of Prague. It was quite a magical place to take in. When I arrived I immediately headed to the Charles Bridge. It was an absolute madhouse. I made it a point the next day to head there early in the morning. I was fortunate enough to share the bridge with only a bird. The water was so calming. I stood on the bridge and just watched the boats sail by. The castle off in the distance was such a wonderful touch.
Reykjavik, Iceland
There is no blog post that could do Iceland justice. I could write 50,000 words and it still wouldn't be enough. I had wanted to do a week there from the get go of my trip planning because I knew that 2-3 days just wouldn't be enough. I'm so glad I did. My broseph James Law came out and we hit the town.
I snowmobiled on a glacier, drove past waterfalls, traveled inside a volcano, rode an ATV through the hills, got to see an amazing fireworks display for Culture Night, got an Icelandic haircut, and relaxed in a geothermal spa. I said it on my instagram and on my twitter and I will say it here: Iceland is magic.
Enjoy.
Take me back.
